The 52 Eritrean nationals that were intercepted in Kotido district without proper travel documentations have been transferred to Moroto immigration office for further investigations.

The Eritreans majority women travelling with 6 Juveniles are suspected to have come through Kenya via Kamion and were intercepted on Sunday the 8th January in Regen Sub County.

John Magezi -Kotido deputy RDC while speaking to our reporter confirmed the transfer of the Eritreans to Moroto Immigration office for further management.

Magezi says a team from the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence have already camped in Moroto immigration office and is working hand in hand with the migration office to ascertain the motives of the Eritreans.

He has appealed to the general public to always provide authorities with information about such movements of nationals from neighbouring countries, saying some are responsible for the illegal entry of guns through the porous borders.
