The 52 Eritrean nationals
that were intercepted in Kotido district without proper travel documentations
have been transferred to Moroto immigration office for further investigations.
The
Eritreans majority women travelling with 6 Juveniles are suspected to have come
through Kenya via Kamion and were intercepted on Sunday the 8th
January in Regen Sub County.

-Kotido deputy RDC while speaking to our reporter confirmed the transfer of the
Eritreans to Moroto Immigration office for further management.
Magezi says
a team from the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence have already camped in
Moroto immigration office and is working hand in hand with the migration office
to ascertain the motives of the Eritreans.
He has
appealed to the general public to always provide authorities with information
about such movements of nationals from neighbouring countries, saying some are
responsible for the illegal entry of guns through the porous borders.
