Schools within Moroto have reported calmness,
peace and tranquility as senior four candidates begin their UCE examinations.
Senior four candidates across the country begun
writing their final examinations today, with mathematics in the morning and
chemistry in the afternoon.
Moroto high school deputy head teacher, Joshua Agan
says the atmosphere at the school remained calm, adding that there is less
difference between the old curriculum and the new lower secondary curriculum,
other than the latter being competence-based.
On the other hand, Daniel Bazira-the headteacher Rupa
Seed secondary school says the students kicked off their final papers peacefully,
in a calm environment.
Mr. Bazira says the new curriculum seems easily
passable and he expressed hope of his students passing.
According to
UNEB, a total of 379,620 students were registered to sit for Uganda certificate
of education examinations that will end on November 15.
