Ethur Community Development
Association-ECDA has organized an Ethur cultural dance competitions to take
place this month in Kampala city.

Simon Igira- the ECDA chairperson says the competitions are expected foster
unity among the Ethur community leaving in the 5 divisions of Kampala.
Thingamoe
explains that there are several Ethur who live in Kampala but do not know each
other and as such, the event will make it easier for them to know each other
and also improve on their social networking.
He says they
have mobilized their local leaders at the district level, parliament as well as
the Ethur in the diaspora to attend the dance competitions, with expectations
that they formulate ways of seeing that they develop.
5 teams will
be drawn from the divisions of Kampala Central, Kawempe, Lubaga, Makindye and
Nakawa for the competitions that will take place on the 27th August
at Dynamic lounge located in Banda.
The winners
are expected to be handed a trophy which will be defended annually among the
divisions while the 2nd and 3rd positions receive
certificates.
