Football clubs in Kotido district have been advised to register their players with FUFA so that they are not exploited by the teams who realize talent in them.

John Odongo the North Eastern region FUFA chairperson noted that, a number of upcountry teams have always been reluctant to register their players, something that has seen them get exploited by established teams that sign them at no fee.

Odongo says according to the FUFA laws, if a player affiliated to a club is needed by another, the buying club will have to pay a sum of money agreed upon by the 2 teams.

He has encouraged all the football teams in the region to take advantage of the online registration platform and register their players.

Odongo implored the DFA’s in the North Eastern region to identify members who are computer literate so that they are trained on how to register players online in order to bring the service closer to the teams.
