Four communities have
qualified for the semifinals in the ongoing Kotido district Uhuru drum league
competitions.
In Group A,
the communities that qualified are the Luo community that topped the group with
6 points and the Karamoja community that came 2nd with 5 points.
In group B,
the West Nile community topped the table with 6 points followed by Teso
community that garnered 5 points following their 2-0 win in the decisive game
against the Ethur community.
The first
semifinals are scheduled for Friday the 6th October between the West
Nile community and the Karamoja community, followed by the 2nd one
on Saturday the 7th October between the Luo community and the Teso
community.
The Luo
community will however miss the services of the coach Ruzi who has been banned
from the touchline for the rest of the games following his attack on an
official in the game against the Bantu community.
Amadi
Yadanga the chairperson Kotido District Football Association has appealed to
the fans to continue exhibiting the discipline showcased in the group stages
for the successful completion of this year’s Uhuru league.
He says they
will not condone any acts of hooliganism from individuals and clubs, adding
that those implicated, will be held accountable by the law.
