Kaabong School of
Nursing has registered a fair start in the ongoing national 2023 medical
schools games hosted by Kabale School of Comprehensive Nursing.
The school that missed out on the athletics competition due
to late arrival is only competing in the disciplines of Volley ball and
football for both the boys and girls.
In football, the boy’s teams registered a 1-0 loss in their
opening match against Mbale School of hygiene and also drew 0-0 against Hoima
School of nursing while the girls suffered a 3-0 defeat against Kisiizi School
of nursing and midwifery.
In volley ball, the girls registered a 2-1 win in the best
of 3 against Jerusalem school of nursing and midwifery, while the boys suffered
a loss of 2-0 against the same school.
Michael Odunge, Kaabong School of nursing coach who however
blames the weather condition and other factors is optimistic the team will
adapt to the conditions and qualify for the next rounds of the competitions.
