A section of MPs from Karamoja have demanded for the resignation and
immediate apology from the president of the Uganda Law society-Isaac Ssemakade
for making derogatory statement against the DPP, Jane Frances Abodo.
The MPs made
the demand during a press briefing at parliament following Ssemakade using
vulgar and insulting language on the DPP and also dragging Karamoja in his
attacks.
Matheniko
county MP, John Baptists Lokii wondered why Ssemakade made reference to the DPP’s
genitals, like he was not born of a woman.

Meanwhile,
Napak district woman MP, Faith Nakut noted that although she acknowledges
Semakade’s desire to reform Uganda Law society, his choice of words against the
DPP are unacceptable and demeaning to the people of Karamoja.
Nakut argues
that for a girl from Karamoja to climb the ranks to the position of the DPP,
she must have gone through a lot and it is wrong for anyone to ridicule her.
