Kotido district deputy RDC
Lukooki John Magezi has called for patience from the iron sheets beneficiaries
over the distribution of the iron sheets, as the await resources to facilitate
the distribution process.
Last week
the Prime Minister flagged off iron sheets meant for the reformed Karachunas
and vulnerable people in Karamoja region, with Kotido district receiving its
first batch on Tuesday.
Magezi says the
district has so far received 8080 pieces of iron sheets out of the intended
17,316 pieces of iron sheets.
He adds that
the distribution of the said iron sheets might stall a little due to financial constraints
but says they are awaiting disbursement of 6 million shillings from the office
of the prime minister to district so as to facilitate the distribution
exercise.
Magezi
however says the district distribution team is on standby and once the money is
released, beneficiaries will be notified through their sub county authorities.
