Kotido district chairperson
Komol Paul Lotee has revealed that the district has commenced rehabilitation of
roads, in a bid to improve the road network in the district in the financial
year 2023/2024.
While
speaking today afternoon, Komol said the district has kick started with works
on the 25 kilo meter Kotido-Lopuyo-Kacheri road which is earmarked at a cost of
700 million shillings.
He says part
of the works include repair of the Dopeth Bridge following approval of their request
for the metallic bridge from UNRA through the Minister of Works and transport.
Komol says
the district authorities have also written letters to the same ministry
requesting for culverts to rehabilitate the Kadamunget Bridge and they are now awaiting
for response from the chief engineer.
