Kotido district authorities have said they are distributing relief food items to all health workers across the district.

This was after 196 health workers from the different health units including the hospital missed out on salaries for three to five months, where they are demanding the district a total of 600 million in salary arrears

Emmanuel Lodio, Kotido district speaker during a council meeting on Wednesday said the health workers are now vulnerable and as such, they have decided to distribute relief items comprising posho, beans and cooking oil to the health workers.

Lodio says courtesy of direct food aid organization, they have now rolled out the distribution exercise in Rengen Sub-county with each health worker receiving 20kgs of posho, 10kgs of beans and 3 liters of cooking oil
