The LC3 chairman of Lemusui sub county in Nakapiripirit district Omeke John Lolima has died after a fatal accident involving motorcycles.

Police report indicates that the accident occurred near Nakapiripirit barracks, along Moroto highway.

Police mouthpiece for Karamoja Mike Longole says the deceased who was riding motorbike with registration number UG 4899R collided with a police bike UP 8141, being ridden by PC James Bwambale.

According to Longole, both riders were sustained injuries and were rushed to Nakapiripirit health centre three for medical attention.

However, Omeke was later referred to Moroto regional referral hospital, where he breathed his last in the early hour of today morning.

The accident scene has been sketched by police officers and both motorcycles have been parked at Nakapiripirit central police station.
