Moroto Municipality MP Francis Adome Lorika has decried the lack of a mortuary in Karamoja sub- region, saying the absence of the facility has complicated life in the already disadvantaged region.

According to MP Adome, bodies that would have been preserved in the coolers just decompose naturally unlike in other government hospitals which have those facilities.

The Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja could not agree more to the concern raised by the legislator but advises that Adome formally writes his concern in order to expedite the attention it deserves.

Members of the public in Karamoja have always had to transport the remains of their loved ones to Mbale for preservation due to the lack of mortuary facilities in the sub-region.
