Matheniko County MP John
Baptist Lokii has cautioned government and other stakeholders to brace for the
consequences of the presidential executive order number 3 of 2023 issued on 19th
may 2023 that among others stopped Turkana from entering and grazing with in
Uganda.
Loki argues
that the Turkana have been hit hard by drought which has caused fear of losing
their animals and lives and following the presidential directive, they can no
longer access water and pasture from Uganda.
According to
the MP, Turkana pastoralists are willing to come and die in Uganda or raid
Ugandan cattle- should they lose theirs as a result of the drought.

other leaders condemned the atrocities committed by the Turkana warriors and
