Moroto Municipality mayor Ismael Mohamed has educated the public that the municipal council does not implement works directly but pass their services through divisions to the communities, noting that the municipality plays the supervisory and monitoring role.

Mohamed says a section of the public always exert pressure on him and the town clerk over services especially waste management, not knowing that divisions are equally responsible.

Ismael reminded the division chairpersons to also sensitize the business community on their responsibility to pay taxes to enable the divisions to operate smoothly and deliver the services required.

Isaac Lokol the chairperson LC3 south division says it is their role to offer services like waste management but noted that challenges like under staffing is a big hindrance to them.
