Staff from Moroto Regional Referral Hospital in collaboration with
various stakeholders have conducted a general cleaning exercise at the
hospital's maternity ward, in a significant move to commemorate Postpartum
Hemorrhage awareness Month.
The cleaning
exercise, which began at 9am yesterday, focused on enhancing hygiene and safety
for both patients and healthcare providers.
Equipped
with protective gear and masks, the cleaning team undertook a thorough
disinfection of the facility, including mopping the floors.
Dr Stephen
Pande, Moroto Regional Referral Hospital director says they are committed to
maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
The activity
is part of a broader series of Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) awareness initiative
being implemented by the hospital in partnership with CUAMM , with funding from
the Embassy of Ireland.
