Members of Moroto development forum-MDF have paid tribute to their fallen member, Anna Mary Nakoru who was recently speared to death over land dispute.

In a tribute seen by our news desk, the MDF president John Lokwang referred to Nakoru as a true definition of a patriot and courageous person, who committed her service to the forum.

Lokwang says their fallen colleague joined them in 2020 when she was elected to represent the urban poor of North Division, where she was appointed as a member of the governance thematic working work.

The MDF president noted that Nakoru played a pivotal role in the preparation of a historical transition of Moroto from a municipality to a city status.

The MDF members condemned the brutal murder of their member and sent their deepest condolences to the mayor Moroto municipality, the councilors, technocrats, family members, relatives and friends.

Nakoru was today buried at their ancestral home in Namalu sub-county, Nakapiripirit district.
