Napak district woman MP Faith Nakut has asked government to revise its method of paying beneficiaries of PDM in hard to reach areas like Karamoja sub-region.

Nakut in the company of Napak district chief administrative officer James Bindijo Okumu were appearing before the public and local government committee chaired by Martin Ojara Mapenduzi, as they gave the status of the implementation of parish development model.

She told the committee people in her district face difficulty in accessing the PDM money since the banks are too far from them, coupled with insecurity, reasons she says sometimes delays people to access the money.

According to the chairperson of the committee, Martin Ojara Mapenduzi, they are meeting some district officials from Karamoja to establish why there is only 15% implementation of PDM funds in the sub-region.

The committee is to submit a final report on the performance of PDM in the country on the floor of parliament in two weeks.
