Napak district woman MP Faith Nakut has called on men to encourage their spouses to acquire funding from the GROW project being implemented by government.

Nakut was speaking yesterday during a consultative meeting in Kampala that attracted various stakeholders including MPs, officials from the gender ministry and banks among others.

She noted that many people are still ignorant about the GROW project and as such, those in charge should educate the masses about the project.

To this, the legislator urged men to inform their partners about the project, adding that no woman in her district has yet received the funding.

During the meeting, it was discovered that the GROW project has not benefitted most of its intended beneficiaries-the women and that many of them do not know about its existence.
