Nine suspected warriors have
been arrested by joint security forces, as they planned a cattle raid mission.
Mike Longole, the police spokesperson for
Karamoja says security forces learnt of the planning meeting through
intelligence network.
Longole adds that the nine were arrested
while inside a grass thatched hut in Lomuria village, Katikekile sub-county in
Moroto district.
The development follows a public outcry of
insecurity in Nakiloro and surrounding areas, where over five motorists were
brutally shot dead.
Longole says the suspects will appear in
court to answer charges of cattle rustling, once investigations are complete.
