Over 1000 people in Moroto district have today received food items donated by partners for hope, stabilization and transformation-PAHSTA.

Lucy Apio Chegem, the vice chairperson board of governors-PAHSTA said the food was to benefit the most vulnerable people in the sub-counties of Rupa, Lotisan and Nadunget.

Apio added that the food comprising 7,500kgs of maize flour and 7,500kgs of beans was donated by friends of Teer Fund Netherlands-TFN after watching videos of the effects of harsh climate and poor harvests realized by the locals.

According to Apio, each beneficiary received 5kgs of flour and 5kgsof beans.

She however says the food is a relief to the vulnerable beneficiaries as they await to harvest crops in their farms, warning that the donation is not to sold.
