The Uganda Police Force has
announced a recruitment exercise in which they seek 2500 probation constables.
The force’s
Human Resource Director, AIGP Brig Jesse Kamunanwire says they will start
today, February, 7 until 18 to receive applications from Ugandans between the
ages of 18 and 23.
According to
AIGP Kamunanwire, the applicants should be ready to work for long hours
and at times under difficult conditions and in any part of the country but
should also possess good communication skills.
Applicants
must also not be a former or serving officer in any of the forces and must
possess a senior four certificate or its equivalent with at least four credits
including English and at least a pass in Mathematics.
Speaking
with our news desk this evening, Karamoja regional police spokesperson Mike
Longole said applicants in the region should take their applications to their
respective district police stations.
Longole
warned that those caught impersonating or providing false information will be
arrested and prosecuted in the courts of law.
