Kosite sub county peace
committee chairperson is in detention over escalation of raids between Napak
and Nabilatuk districts.
The development has been confirmed by Nabilatuk district chairman, Paul Lokol,
who says the detention follows
allegations that he levies some charges on recovered animals.
Adiaka Paul
Amut, is being detained by the UPDF army at Lolachat barracks.
The district
chairman Lokol says these allegations raised eyebrows of the locals as well as
authorities who implicated Amut on suspicions that he could be planning these
raids.
Lokol adds
that the district authorities together with security officials are now monitoring
the consistency of the raids, noting that raids have reported in a span of
every three days.
