Suspected Kadama warriors in Nakapiripirit have allegedly killed a security collaborator in the district.

The gruesome incident occurred on Monday at Moropis village, Lemusui Sub County in Nakapiripirit district.

According the Karamoja police spokesperson Mike Longole, the matter was reported to the police by the Moropis village chairperson Paul Etepewo.

Longole says the local leader told the police that the deceased on Monday morning received a phone call from one Busiye, who said he wanted to meet him at Lomokok village.

According to police, while on his way to meet Busiye, the deceased was caught up by the Kadama warriors who tortured him to death.

Longole says the police have embarked on the investigation to ascertain the circumstances of his death, adding that a case of murder has been opened.

The body was handed to the relatives for burial on Tuesday.
