Tepeth County MP Albert Lokoru has reminded the Turkana community that negotiations regarding the presidential order number 3 can only be held at the national level.

Lokoru while speaking with our reporter said there is no negotiation that can happen at district or regional level about the presidential order number 3 that was issued in May, prohibiting Turkana pastoralists from entering Uganda ,following the killing of three 3 Ugandan geologists and two UPDF soldiers.

He noted that if there is any negotiation between the Karimojong and Turkana, it should be done at the national level since the directive was issued to the Turkana community through the Kenyan government by Uganda.

The legislator urged the Turkana to respect the order until a resolution is reached at.
