The areas of Nakiloro in Katikekile sub-county-Moroto district are fast becoming a den of criminals, with tragic cases of murders and robberies.

On Saturday at around 4:30pm, a boda boda rider and his client were shot at by suspected Karimojong warriors, killing the passenger instantly.

Police spokesperson for Karamoja has confirmed the tragedy and identified the deceased as 28-year-old Angella Tukon Simon.

Meanwhile, the rider of the bike with registration number KMFG 611B, Loupe Lochodo survived the ambush with injuries and is admitted at Moroto regional referral hospital for treatment.

Just recently, a nurse working at Kakingol health centre three-Rachel Ainyo Osanna was waylaid along Nakiloro trading centre to Napedo road and robbed of 200,000 shillings and other personal belonging.

Motorised security patrols were heightened in the area but cases of ambushes by suspected warriors still continue to be registered.
