Two suspects have been
arrested in connection with breaking into Mugasime money lender office in
Matany, Napak district, making away with ten million shillings.
Police
spokesperson for Karamoja IP Mike Longole says thugs broke into the money
lending office located in Looi village at an unknown time on Friday night.
According to
Ivan Ninsiima-the company manager, their office was locked at 7pm but realized
that it was broken into the following morning of Saturday 8th July.
Longole says
on receiving the information, police introduced a canine dog at the scene,
leading to the arrest of two people, who are currently under police detention.
The police
mouthpiece says they have recorded statements from witnesses and investigations
into the matter are still ongoing.
On the other
hand, police have also arrested two suspects for stealing 368 angle bars and
chain link from St. Daniel Comboni S.S.
The duo,
Lokiru Lolim and Loduk John are accused of cutting the perimeter fence of the
school, located in Logolei village, Matany sub-county in Napak district.
The suspects
are set to be arraigned before court, once investigations are complete.
