Minimum Qualifications

• Twp (2) years progressive experience gained in a busy related field.
• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree will be an added advantage.

Broadcast Maintenance and IT Technician/ Commercial Producer
(One Person)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized
IT technician to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key
role in providing support for all areas of IT. You will update systems,
troubleshoot problems, and provide hands-on support for IT issues within our
organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible
for general equipment functionality
· Maintain
regular backups of all station data stored on the LAN and WAN
· Ensuring that
all designated systems are subject to a daily, weekly, monthly and annual
electronic and media backup and restore regime.
· Ensure safety and security of all computerized
data, information, files and documents
· Ensure internet availability and reliability,
working with ISP to make sure that Internet services are working well and
properly managed.
· Detecting
machines problems and handling minor rectification with electrician
· Reporting
major problems for further action
· Scheduling
machine servicing period
· Arranging
studio for guests talk show
· Responsible
for organizing live broadcasts
· Monitoring
sound broadcast quality and advising presenters to maintain accepted levels
· Log transmitter readings maintain log for Uganda
Communications Commission.
· Clean and store equipment Regulate broadcast
signals Set-up, operates, and maintains broadcast station computers and
networks.
· Update the station webpage, Facebook and other
social media adding new articles and images on at least a daily and weekly
basis. Responsible for the Station output and production of all adverts
· Compiling
Music, Adverts and Station promotions
· Ensuring that
all schedules are met e.g. Adverts, Station, etc
· Managing the
music stocks and helping presenters select appropriate music relevant to the
programmes
Reports and
submits monthly report to the Station Manager
Requirements and Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor's
degree in computer science, information systems or related field preferred
·
Previous experience as a help desk
technician, computer technician, or IT support
·
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve multiple
issues
·
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage
time efficiently
·
Excellent verbal and written communication
skills
·
Comfortable in a diverse and fast-paced
environment

Goal-oriented, organized team player
·
Experience working with network and server
management support

Summary: To create, produce, and announce topics on the radio, including music, entertainment, politics, news, weather, sports, traffic, and other topics of interest.
Skills: Anchoring, Management, Music selection.
A great presenter communicates
